OGScout only works if drivers, workshops, and our team treat each other professionally. The rules below apply to everyone using the service.
For drivers
When messaging us or workshops introduced through us, please:
- Be honest about the vehicle. Describe the actual car, year, and condition accurately so workshops can quote correctly.
- Be respectful. No abuse, harassment, threats, or discriminatory language toward our team or any workshop.
- Don't try to bypass the platform after being introduced. The marketplace only works if workshops are paid for the visibility we provide.
- Don't impersonate anyone else. Messages should come from you, about your vehicle.
- Show up. If you've confirmed a workshop, follow through, or cancel as soon as you know you can't make it.
For workshops
As a workshop in the network, you agree to:
- Honor your quotes. The price you give is the price the customer pays unless there's a material change after on-site inspection (which you'll communicate before doing the work).
- Respond truthfully. Quote based on your real capacity, real timelines, and real capabilities — not aspirational ones.
- Treat customer information with care. Use customer phone numbers only for the immediate job. No sales calls, no SMS marketing, no sharing with anyone else.
- Don't manipulate ratings. Don't ask customers for 5-star ratings in exchange for discounts, services, or any other consideration.
- Don't poach. Don't approach customers introduced through OGScout for off-platform work for at least 12 months.
- Follow safety law. All work must meet UAE safety and environmental regulations. No shortcuts on brakes, no unsafe disposal, no falsified records.
For everyone
- No spam, no mass-generated messages.
- No automated tools to interact with the service unless we've explicitly approved them.
- No attempts to break, probe, or compromise the security of the platform.
- No fraud — fake bookings, fake reviews, fake claims, fake disputes.
- No illegal activity of any kind.
What happens if you break the rules
It depends on the severity. For minor first-time issues, we'll usually reach out and explain what went wrong. For serious or repeat violations, we may:
- Suspend your access to OGScout
- Terminate workshop subscriptions without refund
- Cooperate with authorities where laws have been broken
- Pursue legal remedies for damages caused
If you think we've made the wrong call, write to inquires@ogscout.com. A human will respond.
Reporting problems
Saw something that breaks these rules — a workshop behaving badly, a customer abusing operators, fraud, safety risk? Tell us at inquires@ogscout.com or by replying to any OGScout WhatsApp message with the word report. We follow up on every report.
